COURSE OVERVIEW
The workshop focuses on methods of Process Optimization from practical point of view. Goal is to enhance Process Awareness of participants and ensure tools and methods for process oriented operation of companies.
At the end of the workshop, participants will obtain an in-depth understanding of the methodology and toolkits on how to improve processes. There will be extensive use of a range of real life examples, case studies, discussions to achieve the goal mentioned above.

  • Differences between Process optimization and Business Process Reengineering
  • Lean management principles and basics (DMAIC, SIPOC, MUDA, Six Sigma, Poka Yoke)
  • Methods for visualization and analysis of processes (inputs and outputs, process map, Voice of Customer, Fishbone diagram etc.)

Practical case study: Draw processes with different visualization techniques

How to start a process optimization project?

  • Supply chain analysis, definition of non-value added activities
  • Definition of process improvement projects, setting targets, scope of optimization
  • Elaboration of future business model and future processes
  • Implementation plan (milestones, monitoring of tasks, change requests)

Practical case study: Process analysis with lean methods (e.g. value added analysis, mudas, value chain map)
